Went to my first Ice Hockey game ever! :) So excited!
In the Summer, I went to the Kingston Harbour to catch a boat to Wolfe Island. We saw the K-Rock centre and went to check the place out but it was closed. It looked like it could possibly be a stadium or a concert hall but it was never open in the day the times that I went to peek.
Ah, so the Roger's K-Rock Centre is where people go for events. The game was held there. It isn't too far off the shopping street (Princess Street which you don't see on the map due to the numerous 'stars'). In fact, its located near food basics, the grocer which is has the most reasonable prices that I always frequent.
Oh yes, the K-Rock centre is located on a street that's called "The Tragically Hip Way". I never fail to be amused by that street name everytime I see it :) Hehe.
Found my favourite Ritter Sport flavour at Cooke's Fine Foods! :) Singapore doesn't have this flavour anymore I don't know why. :( Can only get this overseas! :)

It is exciting to watch though! Some friends of mine travel all the way to Toronto or Ottawa, the bigger cities to watch the bigger matches. Just seeing the players glide across the ice at such speeds was exciting for me :) Had fun!
Heard the Canadian National Anthem for the First Time |
Queen's Band |
And later, Boo Hoo the Bear (Queensu's Mascot) makes an appearance on the ice :)
I just noticed when I upload videos into blogger it goes all blurry. I've re-uploaded it you can now view it in HD! :)
With the pals. :) |
Only Guido and I were going back to Princess to catch a bus but buses weren't due to come yet so we stopped by to grab some bucks while we waited for the bus. A friend called and his plans changed so he was heading up Princess for a drink like many other people after the match. I think it was really nice of him to wait till I got on my bus before he went to meet his friends. It feels nice when people just do nice things for you even though you know they're not obliged to. It feels even better when you can tell people are just sincere in being friends! He told me he's from a small Italian village near Naples but studies in Milan. Way cool! I love Italy so much! Would love to go back :)
