Paillard is a Cafe located on Rue Saint-Jean, a very busy road leading from Old Quebec City to Quebec City (Outside the walls) We heard from friends that the croissants are awesome here! Fluffy, flakey but not oily. The cafe was chill, very affordable, and I was willing to spend on food I'd otherwise think is a luxury (sweet stuff that doesn't make you full); I almost forgot I'm an exchange student!
The cakes, tarts and macarons are so pretty here its a feast for the eyes! They are also very affordable! If I had the stomach I would try all of them :) Check out that lemon meringue tart at less than 4 bucks :O.
A tea set for just $6.95 (I think..) How affordable! And a whole lot of yummy too :) The croissants won best croissants in Quebec City. I'm amused there's this kind of contest haha.
Seldom drink coffee, but when I do, it makes me so hyped up for the rest of the journey! After this it was a whole lot of shopping down Rue Saint-Jean :/
I really liked the atmosphere and pastries here! I'm sure anyone would :)
