Maid of the Mist Boat Ride

The falls looked crazy from above! So many tonnes of water crashing down! Even at a distance, one can feel the vapour in the air caused by the crashing of the rapid water but I wanted to experience what it was like to be even closer to the Falls!

The Maid of the Mist Boat Ride costs $19.75 CAD and it allows you to take the boat that goes as close to the falls as you can ever get. This admission fee includes your ticket, a Postcard, and your raincoat. I brought my own raincoat but decided not to use it cos the raincoat they gave had 'Maid of the Mist' printed on it and I thought it was cool. Haha.

There are other tours you can do here like the one where you can walk behind the falls and stuff. Alot of other stuff, do check out their official webbie to check schedules and packages! Its especially worth it if you're gonna be staying there for the night.

Complementary Postcard (without paid postage) and the Maid of the Mist Boat Ride Ticket

Boarding the Boat everyone needs to put on their ninja suits

The plunging water was so powerful! Check out how everyone's raincoats are bloating!

As close as my non-waterproof phone can get

Light Showers over our heads~

Passed the American Falls and now onward to the Horseshoe Falls!
Its called the Horseshoe Falls because its shape is a "U" which reminds us of horseshoes!
Whee! So much excitement and we were already half wet.

This will be how it looks like above

Okay time to keep my phone before it dies in the water. Was thankful I did because in the Horseshoe Falls, it felt like it was raining heavily! We came out all drenched. And in there, visibility was really low, I wonder how the crew can see past all that mist! You literally can only see the blue raincoats near you. Crazy powerful water that was.

The queue getting onto the next boat

Whee!!

It was an experience going through those falls. I would say that, though 20 bucks might seem steep, it was definitely worth the experience! You can't fully comprehend the force of the plunging water till you're close to it. No wonder its one of the 7 wonders of the natural world.
