Columbia and Neighbourhood

After my exchange at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, I took a train to to New York City to visit my sister who is studying in Columbia.

So, Columbia has a small rather small campus, many like one-fifth of Queen's. And is located in Upper West in Manhatten, pretty far away from Times Square and stuff. You can imagine it to be like how NTU is away from Orchard Road (okay, thats a little far but its close)

The road which cuts the campus in half is the one that red bricked. Campus patrol vehicles pass this stretch quite frequently.

Sisters and I all in Uggs to keep our feet warm

People must have got buckets and did some snow sculpting here during exam breaks haha.

Shoes all dirty from the dirty snow. :(

Sisters doing a jumpshot after Snow-angeling. Crazy peeps.

And so, before we caught Lion King at Times Square, we had lunch opposite Columbia at a Japanese restaurant, Vine Sushi, which I felt was really affordable for the quantity. Its in a good location right opposite Columbia where its affordable prices are attractive to students.

I think this bento was 12USD

The food here isn't great but is decent and for the price, they do quite quite alot. The lunch sets make for a very satisfactory meal, if I were studying nearby, this would be my go to place if I didn't mind spending a little to sit in a nice place and have a a large meal :)
