Spicy Roasted Rice Cakes
These were yumm!!! I liked them because they were spicy unpretentious kind which burns your tongue as soon as put them in your mouth. The exterior of the rice cakes were rather crispy while the inside was nice and chewy. The rice cakes tasted good with all that seasoning and spice. The small globules reminded me of Gnocchi, an Italian pasta made from potato. Yums!
Fried Chicken - Habanero and Lime
This came as a huge platter. HUGE! Our party of 6 could barely finish all of that. I didn't think lime and fried chicken would go so well together :)) The batter wasn't too thick and the skin wasn't at all greasy. It was very well seasoned with Pepper and Habanero. Mmm. Spicy, yummy and addictive.
Cereal Stout Soft Serve
It was nice to have soft serve again!! Less than a decade ago we still had Mr Softee sold in 7 Elevens in Singapore but they no longer sell them here. The last time I had Mr Softee was from a Mr Softee van in Tsim Sha Tsui, I wish they brought it back! I got this cereal stout soft serve at the coffee and cakes counter at Má Pêche. It had a nice texture and consistency it was 'firmer' than the one I'm familiar with. The difference is that this
one's alcoholic and it doesn't melt in this weather! The Stout made this soft serve more bitter than sweet but I guess it's an acquired taste, it took me a couple of spoonfuls to begin liking the taste. The crumbled cereal they topped the soft serve made me happy!! There was a nice contrast between the crunchy cereal and soft serve :)
